continues--- even as she is actively on the campaign trail; supporting her husband John's run, for President.
I bring this topic up after watching my Mom battle with breast cancer more than a dozen years ago.
It's maddening to me that people suggest Mrs. Edwards should stay home to fight her cancer. (You may know; this is the second time being diagnosed with the disease. It's being called treatable, not curable.)
If anyone would've said to my Mom--- stay home. She would NOT have taken to it kindly. (Honestly; she probably would've smacked the person!)

My Mom is a bowler, a gardner and a volunteer in her community. She has a full-time job again; after graduating from college last year, but, if she'd been told to stay home.. "no more bowling, gardening or volunteering" until you are feeling better, it would've been the death of her anyway during that crucial time.

Life is meant to be lived.. and it's what Elizabeth Edwards is doing right now.
It's not greedy on her husband's part nor mean toward her young children.
It's her way of handling cancer...
and possibly giving the rest of us a lesson about living our own lives in the meantime??
